Reflecting on 2015

I had a pretty up and down year with my cars - but overall, it was still the best I could have asked for. (Picture heavy post)

It was a pretty eventful year for me. I had a lot of new experiences and met a lot of interesting people. In terms of cars, some things happened this year that should have put me out of commission. Breakdowns, accidents, expensive repairs. Maybe I should have packed it up and called it a day - but that’s not what happened.

I spent some time at various autocross events (in various cars!)

I spent a few days at Road America and Autobahn Country Club.

I also got to see some really cool stuff getting driven hard. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! doing 175mph down the front straight at Road America? Awesome.)

I drove my Mini a whole bunch:

I made some new friends:

I even found my car’s brother! (The younger, fatter one)

And I managed to find a smaller car, too:

I picked up a bike that died 4 days and 50 miles after I got it... Oops.

And I wasted a lot of time in the garage. Fortunately I had good company:

I tried to get better at taking photos. Maybe next year.

To close out 2015, I decided to get a new vehicle. I was going to wait for a Focus RS, but I think I might be able to find a better use for the extra $20k I saved by getting the Party ST. We’ll see what happens! :)

Hey man, just reminding you that today at 4:30 PM EST we’re racing at Daytona. If you’re planning to race, try and get on a bit early so we can get the lobby properly set up. I’m posting a reminder a bit later, but I’m messaging everyone who signed up for the series just to make sure no one misses it.
